We knew beforehand that this game won’t be easy either. Fradi is the only team in the Semi-Finals that hadn’t won a Champions League title before.

We started the game poorly. It didn’t take long for Barceloneta to start scoring, they were leading 2-0. Then Vogel Soma had an important save which definitely motivated the team, and soon we started attacking, too. Kállay Márk shot the first Fradi goal of the game. After some spectacular Vogel saves, just before the end of the first period, Jaksic scored a beautiful equalizer (2-2).

The beginning of the 2nd quarter had lots of Fradi opportunities, but unfortunately, they didn’t end up as goals. Barceloneta found the net and took the lead again. We were able to even the scoreline, but couldn’t turn it in our favor (3-3).

Vogel saved a shot at the perfect moment and right after that Jaksic scored, but we quickly lost the ball and Barceloneta took the lead once again. Our defense was strong though, the saves of Vogel Soma kept us in the game (5-6).

Five minutes before the end of the game Varga Dénes scored two goals from afar and evened the scoreline. Then Jansik scored too with the assist of Varga and for the first time during the game, we took the lead. Finally, Varga Dénes scored again and decided the game.

Ferencváros defeated Barceloneta and will play in the Champions League Finals against Olympiacos on Saturday.
