The Budapest derby started in a great atmosphere: over 20 000 supporters, full house celebrated the 30-time Hungarian champion. We played dominantly and scored in the 22nd minute: Lanzafame prepared the ball cleverly for Varga who did not miss the distant shot. This has been Varga’s sixth goal against Újpest in the Fradi jersey. Before half time Újpest equalized with a nice header after a corner.
In the second half our players took the lead quickly again: Lanzafame finished an attack after a free kick. Both Lanzafame and varga could have scored multiple further goals but none of the nets were touched in the remaining minutes, and it was many minutes. Due to supporter celebration and some slighter injuries the match had an unusual 11-minute extra time.
