Our 35-time champion men's football team played as guests of ETO FC Győr in the 11th round of the championship. Pascal Jansen started with Dibusz - Makreckis, Cissé, Gartenmann, Ramírez - Maiga, Rommens - Traoré, Kady, Ben Romdhane - Saldanha.
First half
In the fifth minute, we had a free kick from a good position, but Cissé headed the ball over the top. At the other end, our former player Gavrics shot from distance but there was no danger. We controlled the game, but it was difficult to break the Győri defence, the home side defended tenaciously. In the 22nd minute, a clever free-kick gave Saldanha a chance, but the defence managed to clear the ball that went into the goal.
In the 33rd minute, Gavrics tricked Cisse in front of the five-meter line, but his weak shot was saved by Dibusz, and later Stefulj shot over. In the 41st minute, Traoré tricked his defender and his powerful shot was saved by Gyurákovics. In the final minute of normal time, Ouro's shot bounced off the defence and Dibusz was unable to reach the ball, so the home side went into the break with a one-goal lead.
Second half
We made three substitutions at the break. Varga Barnabás replaced Saldanha, but Virgil Misidjan and Mohammed Abu Fani also came on for the restart in place of Ben Romdhane and Rommens. Stefulj's big shot opened the second period, not far missing the target. Kristoffer Zachariassen was the next substitute, replacing Maiga. In the 64th minute Barnabás Varga had a great chance, but the ball went past the left post. Cisse was then replaced by Zsombor Gruber. Almost immediately we equalized, Adama Traoré shook off his defenders and calmly shot into the goal (1-1).
Shortly afterwards Zachariassen was brought down inside the penalty area, but the video referee ruled it a normal tackle. In the dying minutes, Abu Fani's shot rattled the outside of the home net. In the 90th minute, we missed a great chance, Zachariassen could have won the game but shot over. This left us with a 1-1 draw, we managed to take one point from ETO Park.
