WE HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE CONFERENCE LEAGUE GROUP STAGE
Ferencváros football team has qualified for the UEFA Europa League with a 7-0 aggregate record.

Our men's football team took a 4-0 lead into the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League play-off tie against Zalgiris Vilnius. With qualification for the group stage at stake, Csaba Máté fielded a starting line-up of Dibusz - Makreckis, Mmaee, Abena, Civic - Sigér, Abu Fani - Zachariassen - Marquinhos, Varga B., Traoré.

First half

Our team started the game aggressively, which soon paid off: in the fourth minute, Barnabás Varga started Adama Traore, who ran down his defender and calmly scored the first goal (1-0)! Seven minutes later, Barnabás Varga received an excellent ball and tried to cross over Gertmonas, who was out of his goal, but the visitors' keeper blocked his effort. In the 20th minute the game was temporarily halted due to Marquinhos and Hnid being nursed, and in the 23rd minute the visitors' head coach Vladimir Cheburin was forced to make a change, with Gertmonas replaced by Duka.

Soon after, Marquinhos outwitted his defenders on the left flank and passed to Traoré, but his shot was saved by Duka. In the 36th minute, Makreckis won a ball, pushed Traoré well, then got the ball back to him but fired towards goal from an tight angle. Three minutes later, a free kick was awarded to Marquinhos after a foul, but the dangerous effort was saved by Dibusz.

Five minutes before the end of the half, Marquinhos was brought down inside the box and the referee awarded a penalty. The penalty was taken by Barnabas Varga, who finished the penalty with great confidence and doubled our lead (2-0)! In the 45th minute, Zachariassen was in position, but the Zalgiris defenders were able to clear at the last moment.

Second half

At the break Csaba Máté made two substitutions, Varga Barnabás was replaced by Pesics and Marquinhos by Tokmac. The second half of the game started in the same way as the first: in the 48th minute Pesics put Traoré in position, who made no mistake this time and scored his second goal and our third (3-0)!

Three minutes later Pesics scored again, but the referee disallowed the goal for an offside. In the 59th minute, Traoré scored a third goal, but the referee again disallowed it. However, the two disallowed goals did not discourage our team, first Tokmac fired to goal and then Pesics' cross was cleared out of the net by the visitors' defenders. Lisztes then replaced Traoré in the 65th minute and Abu Fani was replaced by Ben Romdhane. Twenty minutes before the end of normal time, the opponents took the initiative for a few minutes, with Novikovas getting a dangerous shot off, but Dibusz cleared the ball from the top right corner. In the 73rd minute our team made their last substitution, with Ramírez coming on for Civic. In the 86th minute, our Ecuadorian left-back fired a shot on goal after a Lisztes cross, but his attempt was off target. Just over a minute later, Zachariassen's pass found Ben Romdhane, but Duka made a brave save.

Ferencváros eventually progressed to the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage with a 7-0 aggregate and a double victory over Zalgiris.

The group stage will be drawn by UEFA on Friday 1 September at 14.30.
