Our defending champion men's football team hosted Nyíregyháza in the 28th round of the OTP Bank Liga. First half
The first kick was taken by the home side, and the first chance came in the second minute, when Makreckis' cross was headed into the visitors' goal by Pesics, but Balázs Tóth was able to save. Seconds later, Alex Tóth's centre was fouled by the visitors' defenders and Pesics, who was left empty, headed into the Nyíregyháza goal (1-0).
After the goal, our team dictated the tempo, in the 18th minute Saldanha was in position, our Brazilian striker scored the goal, but the assistant waved offside. However, after a lengthy review, the video referee overturned the decision and our team took a two-goal lead (2-0).
In the 33rd minute, Pesic had the chance to take a free kick, but Tóth saved. Two minutes later, Saldanha broke down the right flank, trickled his way into the box and crossed to Pesics, who made a spectacular move to put the ball into the net with his heel (3-0). Two minutes before the break, Alex Tóth got the ball and passed to Maiga, who set Makreckis on the pace and our full-back broke on goal, but the Nyíregyháza defenders saved in the last minute.
Second half
After the turnaround, we didn't have to wait long for another goal, in the 53rd minute Alex Tóth's cross from the left was met by Saldanha, who converted the situation and scored a double (4-0). Three minutes later, our team made a substitution, with Barnabas Varga replacing Pesic, who scored twice, and Júlio Romao replacing Maiga. In the 57th minute, Eppel challenged Dibusz from distance, but our team captain managed to save.
In the 58th minute, Alex Tóth received a good ball in front of the visitors' goal and finished into the Nyiregyhaza goal, scoring two assists and scoring the first goal of the first team (5-0) today. Four minutes later, our young midfielder left the pitch and was replaced by Ben Romdhane, while Saldanha was replaced by Joseph.
In the 71st minute Abu Fani came off the pitch, replaced by debutant Adam Madarász. Ten minutes later, our team scored their sixth goal, Joseph headed into Tóth's goal from Civic's cross to give Ferencváros their sixth goal (6-0). In the 85th minute, our French international unselfishly served Varga Barnabás to put our national team striker in position, who did not miss his chance (7-0).
