Ferencvárosi Torna Club decided to support the Heim Pál National Institute of Pediatrics with the fees of the admission tickets sold at the FTC-Újpest football match last weekend. The charitable initiative was also supported by the operator of Groupama Arena, Lagardère Sports Hungary Kft.
The joy after the derby is doubled, as on the one hand, we were able to secure three important points from a grappling match and on the other, thanks to the thousands of spectators we are able to support the Hospital significantly. FTC and LSH Kft. transfers a total of 1.3 million forints to the institute.
With this move, we joined the initiative of the Hungarian Police’s running team, which launched a national charity run in the spring of 2020. We were one of the first to join a large-scale collaboration called “One Step For Life, You Step too!“.
From the proceeds of the Újpest-FTC football match which will be held on February 8, 2020, at the Szusza Ferenc Stadium, Újpest FC will contribute to the charitable initiative.
