Our team took up on to the pitch in the third round of the Champions League Qualifiers tonight. Today’s game was played in Croatia in the home of GNK Dinamo Zagreb, a team that has been continuously playing in recent years in the group stage of either the Champions League or the Europa League.
The match did not start well for us: Olmo took the lead for the home team in the 7th minute in the end of a memorable attack. After the goal ours came up and the game became more balanced. Although we did not have many chances, our defense stood still and the nets remained untouched in the remaining part of the first half. After the break however we came up and managed to score: Sigér’s header was saved only after the ball passed the goal line.
Ours were even close to take the lead but in the last 30 minutes Dinamo created many more chances. Dibusz and the defense however stopped all and we achieved a very valuable 1-1 draw in Zagreb. We continue next Tuesday in Budapest, in a stadium where all tickets are already sold.
