PÁSZKA'S BEAUTY GOAL RESULTED IN A DRAW
Our men's football team played a 1-1 draw with CSZKA 1948 Sofia in the second training camp in Austria.

On Saturday afternoon, our thirty five-time record holders men's football team played their first training match at their second training camp in Lienz, Austria.

First half

Head coach Pascal Jansen sent his team on the pitch with the line-up of Dibusz Dénes - Cebrail Makreckis, Myenty Abena, Raul Gustavo, Cristian Ramírez - Isaac Pappoe, Mohammed Abu Fani - Edgar Sevikjan, Tosin Kehinde, Zsombor Gruber - Kenan Kodro against CSZKA 1948 Sofia from Bulgaria.

In the first minutes, our team had more possession, but could not create any chances. In the 11th minute, Pappoe's great vision and a move behind the defenders found Kehinde, but our Nigerian player was on offside. Nine minutes later, Sevikian broke inside the box from the right, but what had ended with a powerful shot on goal against Diósgyőr and Nyíregyháza last season ended with an attempt well over the bar this time.

The first real Bulgarian attempt came in the 23rd minute. A cross from the right found Birsent Karagaren empty, but the striker's shot was well blocked by Ramírez. Five minutes later, Pappoe fired a free-kick towards the goal, but his dangerous attempt was blocked by the Bulgarian defenders. In the 32nd minute, Abu Fani also shone, but his shot from about 25 metres from goal missed the target. A minute later, CSZKA 1948 Sofia took the lead from almost nowhere.

Simeon Vasilev received a great ball on the left, his flat cross was missed in the middle by the Fradi defenders and Brazilian Pedrinho shot into the bottom left corner from 14 metres. 0-1!

After the goal, Ferencváros got going. First they saved a last-minute attempt from the well-positioned Gruber, then Makreckis' right-wing cross was just missed by Kodro in the middle. The scoreline remained unchanged until the break, with Sofia leading 1-0.

Second half

At the break our head coach made a complete line change. In the second half our team played as follows: Radnóti - Kaján, Aaneba, Knoester, Pászka - Loncar, Esiti, Tóth A., Ben Romdhane - Pesics, Bassey. In the 49th minute, Ben Romdhane's cross found Pászka on the left, our player broke into the penalty area and after a nice trick, shot right into the left side of the goal. 1-1!

Ben Romdhane was having a great day. Five minutes later, a dangerous centre was cleared by the defenders and Bassey broke clear of the defenders but the referee stopped the action for an offside.

In the 62nd minute a dangerous Sofia chance could have been created but Aaneba blocked it. Four minutes later, Ben Romdhane made a superb start, breaking inside the penalty area where he was fouled. The awarded penalty was backed up by the victim but the ball bounced off the goalpost. In the 72nd minute, Loncar's shot was saved by the Bulgarian goalkeeper.

By the end Sofia had lifted speed as well. First Iliev's curling effort hit the post, then Thalis tried to cross from half-court but his lift went over. In the last minutes the scoreline remained unchanged and our team started their second training camp in Austria with a 1-1 draw.
