Ahead of the 28th Round in NB I the biggest question was whether Ferencváros becomes champion today. Rebrov’s team hosted Puskás Academy at the Groupama Arena and if the team had won, we would have become champions already today.
This first half was however really not ours: we create two slight chances in the first minutes but in the 5th minute Puskás created their first dangerous attack and two minutes later they took the lead after a corner and a header. In the second half of the period Isael, Tokmac and Somalia all had their shots but we could not equalize. We played more lively after the break and caused more and more danger. The pressure on the Puskás’ box grew so big by the 70th minute that it was only a matter of time when we could equalize. This happened finally in the 76th minute when Laudouni shot from close range unstoppably to the net. In the 85th minute we could have received a penalty when a sliding Puskás player touched the ball with his arm, but the referee’s whistle stayed silent and the match ended with 1-1.
We are not yet champions but next Saturday can collect again the 32nd title!
