Myrto Uzuni is an 8-time Albanian national team winger and he signs for the 31-time-Hungarian-champion Ferencváros. The 25-year-old Uzuni supported Lokomotiva this season with 9 goals and 7 assists, which team stands currently in the 3rd position and is involved in the Croatian domestic cup final as well.
 
The new signing will join our squad after playing his last match – the cup final - on August 1st.
 
Introduction
Myrto Uzuni was born May 31st, 1995 in Berat, Albania and grew up in Greece. He returned to his home town only later, in 2012, when he joined the local club FK Tomori Berat, first the U17, then the U19 teams. Already in 2013 he was called up to the first team’s squad and in less than one and a half year became a regular and collected the Man of the Season award. In 2015 he changed colors and signed for KF Apolonia Fier, from where he also received the opportunity to play in the U21 national team. He played 7 matches and scored once.
 
With Apolonia he played in both the first and second leagues, and in season 2016/17 he scored 17 goals. After that season he signed for KF Laci.
 
In his new team he had a brilliant first season with 13 goals and 4 assists in 48 matches. This performance was enough to raise Lokomotiva Zagreb’s attention so he decided to move to Croatia. In his first Croatian season he became a regular, and showed a very convincing performance. He had his debut in the senior Albanian national team as well and has played 8 times since 2018.
 
In the current season he played 66 matches, scored 20 goals and gave 15 assists. Uzuni is therefore not only great in scoring goals but also giving assists: 9 plus 7 this year.
 
Uzuni can play in the two remaining league games and also in the cup final, then will join our squad.
 
His primary position is on the left wing but can also play on the right side or even as central midfielder and striker.
 
This summer our team signed already Adam Bogdan and finalized the purchase of Oleksandr Zubkov. Uzuni is thus our third signing for the new season.
