LISZTES DECIDED, WE BEAT KISVÁRDA
Ferencváros men's football team won 1-0 against Kisvárda with a goal from Krisztián Lisztes.

After the 3-1 home Conference League win against Cukaricki, our 34-time Hungarian champion men's football team hosted Kisvárda in the 7th round of the OTP Bank League. Dejan Stankovic started the game with Dibusz - Makreckis, Wingo, Abena, Ramírez - Sigér, Abu Fani, Zachariassen - Marquinhos, Varga B. - Lisztes.

First half

Our team started the match better, conceding several corners in the first minutes. We had to wait until the tenth minute for the first big opportunity, when Krisztián Lisztes moved to the left wing, tricked several defenders and crossed to Zachariassen, but the Norwegian's shot was blocked. In the sixteenth minute, our opponents threatened, but Dénes Dibusz made a save and our defenders saved to a corner. Two minutes later, we could have taken the lead, Makreckis' cross was passed on to Varga Barnabás by Zachariassen, but our national team striker's attempt slipped past the left post.

In the 29th minute, Abu Fani's powerful shot had to be pushed away by Petkovics, and shortly afterwards Zachariassen's header was cleared. In the 44th minute, our clear field advantage was finally converted into a goal, when Krisztián Lisztes headed into the visitors' net (1-0) from Abu Fani's corner. We had another attempt in the first half's extra time, but Petkovics saved Makreckis' shot, so our team could look forward to the restart with a one-goal lead.

Second half
After the break, our team continued to dominate, but we failed to score in the first quarter of an hour, so Dejan Stankovic made two changes in the 59th minute: the goal scorer Lisztes was replaced by Botka, while Abu Fani was replaced by Ben Romdhane. Shortly after the substitutions, Marquinhos was in position, but the away team's goalkeeper saved. Five minutes later, Varga Barnabás was replaced by Pesics, but Ben Romdhane was the main protagonist in the following minutes, as he threatened the visitors' goal on several occasions. In the 70th minute, our opponents also found a chance, but Mesanovics' shot was confidently saved by Dibusz. Minutes later, the visitors got as far as the goal, Ilievski's attempt hitting our crossbar. After a few minutes Kisvárda took the initiative again and Zachriassen could have won the game, but Petkovics came out of his goal well and our midfielder could not shoot.

In the 84th minute, our Norwegian international was again in the offense, and the opponents' defenders could only foul him, allowing our team to take a free kick, but Ramírez smashed the ball into the defensive line. No further goals were scored, so our men's football team beat Kisvárda 1-0.

FTC will next host Kecskemét at the Groupama Arena on Wednesday 27 September at 20.00.
