Georgian national team winger signs to Fradi
Giorgi Kharaishvili, the 24-year old Swedish cup winner arrives to Ferencváros from IFK Göteborg.

After signing Dániel Gera, Máté Katona, Henry Wingo and Samy Mmaee, the club signs another player in the winter transfer season: Giorgi Kharaishvili arrives to our team from the Swedish Cup winner IFK Göteborg. Giorgi is a really productive winger: at 18 he noted 21 goals in a season, in Georgia he had seasons with 12 and 13 goals and in his first Swedish season he scored 9 times. He is also well-known for his assists.

Biography
Giorgi Kharaishvili was born July 29, 1996 in Marneuli (Georgia). His first team was Saburtalo Tbilisi where he even participated in the UEFA Youth League with the U19 team.

He played his first senior match in 2013 and despite his young age, he counted as a regular I his team. At Saburtalo he played already 112 matches and scored 55 times.

With his good performance the 18-time Swedish champion IFK Göteborg signed him first on loan in 2018: in 27 matches he scored 9 goals and hence received a permanent contract.

In his second Swedish season he was an unmissable part of the starting XI of Göteborg and in 28 matches scored 7 goals and served 8 assists. In season 2019/2020 he celebrated a cup win with his team and in the recent season played 15 matches.

Khariashvili can both play as a winger and a striker: at 18 he already scored 21 goals in the Georgian second league, then was close to 10 goals per season until recently.

The offensive winger has been part of its nation’s youth national teams and had his debut in the senior team in 2017. So far he has received the opportunity to wear the national jersey six times and scored once in a European Championship qualifier against Gibraltar.
