We have been preparing for this day for a while, we wanted to celebrate the 31-time champion men’s football team. Today we finally had the opportunity at the Groupama Arena, together with our supporters. Before the match the today retiring Leandro was greeted by Pál Orosz, CEO of FTC Football Ltd: he stays at the club in the future and will work with the younger generations.
We could play today calmly after winning the championship already last week, but Mezőkövesd was still in a fight for the third position which would have meant the European qualification. They were close to disappoint us in the 13th minute and a couple other times Dibusz had to stop their attacks. We were just as aggressive on the other side of the pitch and in the 42nd minute scored the only goal of this match: Tokmac placed the ball into the net. In the second half we could have scored more but the result remained unchanged, we received the gold medal and celebrated with fireworks.
