FERENCVÁROS BECAME CHAMPIONS!
Thanks to the defeat of Kecskemét, FTC won their 34th title and set a 110-year old record.

The 30th round of the OTP Bank Liga takes place this weekend and could decide the fate of the championship on Friday or Saturday. On Friday evening, Budapest Honvéd beat second-placed Kecskemét 1-0 at home, 9 points behind FTC, so it was decided that our lead was irrecoverable, regardless of our home game against Kisvárda on Saturday,

By this, Ferencvárosi Torna Club won their fifth title in a row and 34th overall!

With the five-season winning streak, we set a 110-year-old record. Between 1908 and 1913, the then Imre Schlosser-led Fradi won five consecutive championships, the longest streak in the club's history. Interestingly, at the end of each of the five championships that ended with a gold medal, Schlosser also earned the title of top scorer, scoring over 30 goals in all but one seasons.

It has happened before that we have celebrated a championship title independently of our own games. The 30th gold medal was exactly like that, because in the 30th round, then known as MOL Vidi FC only drew with Puskás Academy in the early evening, and Ferencváros had already won the title before the evening game against Honvéd.

But now, back to the present. In the last 29 rounds, Fradi have won 18 games, drawn six and lost five. We have scored the most goals (58) and we have received the least amount of goals (27) this season. Ryan Mmaee and Adama Traoré scored 12 and 11 goals respectively in the 2022/23 season, making them the two most successful footballers of our squad this season. Both are at the top of the scoring charts in the National League.

Our fans can celebrate the newly crowned champions at home this weekend. Stanislav Cherchesov's side will host Kisvárda Master Good at 19.45 on Saturday at the Groupama Arena. A limited number of tickets are still available for the match. Buy your tickets online at meccsjegy.fradi.hu or in person at the Groupama Arena ticket offices (general opening hours: Mon: closed, Mon-Fri: 10.00-18.00, Sat: 9.00-13.00, Sun: closed, except on match days) and be part of another victory at the venue! Keep in mind that you need to register for the mandatory Fradi Supporter Card before buying a ticket, so arrive early on Saturday to the ticket office of the Groupama Arena.

Finally, our new champion team collection is now available HERE!
