One week after the home 2-1 victory over Ludogorets, FTC travelled to Bulgaria yesterday to win Round 1 in the Champions League Qualification and go to the second round. Head Coach Rebrov did not change the starting eleven and this proved to be a good decision: by the 20th minute ours led by two goals. No one really expected this and it definitely shocked the opponents. Although they closed up before half time, and could have equalized if it had not been for Dibusz, after the refreshment it was ours who extended the lead. At this point Ludogorets would have needed another four goals which seemed to be an impossible challenge, especially after Moti was shown the red card.
This way, our team won 3-2 today and achieved an aggregate 5-3 result. Next Wednesday we play against the Maltese Valletta at the Groupama Arena.
