The Hungarian champion Dávid Gróf joins the squad of Ferencváros. The talented goalkeeper has played at Fradi before, then signed from Vasas to Hibernian U20 in 2006. He had his debut at the professional team in Scottland. Later he played at several Brittish and German clubs.
In 2015 he returned to Hungary, played in his first season at Csákvár in NB II, and since at Honvéd.
Already in his first season he fought a place for himself in the starting XI and for 84 matches the lineup started with his name. This long series no other NB I player could show up consecutively. He played a huge role in winning the championship with Honvéd in season 2016/2017: in 25 matches he received only 22 goals and marked 10 clean sheets.
He has been called up to the national team several times. Gróf is also a penalty-killer goalie, he stopped 4 out of 7 this season.
