Introduction
The midfielder was born on 29 March 1998 in Belford Roxo, Brazil. Romao started his career in the youth ranks of Athletico Paranaense, before moving to Ponte Preta and then Santa Cruz. He finally made his senior debut for Santa Clara in Portugal, where he made 27 appearances.
Joining Qarabag in 2022, he made 120 appearances for the Azerbaijani club, scoring two goals and registering three assists. In two-and-a-half years with the club, he has won two league titles and one cup, as well as three UEL main draw appearances, and has played in seven of Qarabag's eight Europa League matches this season.
