ANOTHER BIG SUCCESS! WE BEAT MONACO!
After two rounds, our men's football team is unbeaten in Group H of the UEL.

Our defending Hungarian champions and cup winners, Ferencváros beat Trabzonspor 3-2 in the first round of the UEFA Europa League group stage, then visited AS Monaco in the second round. Stanislav Cherchesov made a number of changes to the starting eleven from a week ago, so this time it was Dibusz - Wingo, S. Mmaee, Knoester, Botka - Laidouni, Besic - Zachariassen, Tokmac, Traoré - R. Mmaee on the pitch of the Stade Louis II.

First half

We had to wait until the seventh minute for the first situation when French international Ben Yedder slipped in a left-wing cross, but it was no problem for Dibusz, who made six saves in the first round. Four minutes later, the we were in position, but Samy Mmaee, who scored his first goal for Ferencváros against Kisvárda, missed the target this time.

In the 20th minute, Tokmac stepped up one-on-one after an exemplary attack and curled a shot into the goal from inside the penalty area, but the video referee indicated after a lengthy review that the Norwegian striker had been on offside, leaving the score 0-0. After the disallowed goal, the home side tried to turn up the gears, but the final passes were always mistaken.

In the 32nd minute, Traoré received a good ball on the right wing, fired with his left foot, but Nübel saved. Moments later, Ryan Mmaee headed in Laidouni's corner, but the Moroccan international striker's header missed the target. In the 34th minute, Diatta launched Golovin, the Russian aimed for the bottom long corner but Dibusz saved, while Ben Yedder's did not hit the ball.

Five minutes before the end of the first half, a promising free-kick was taken from a promising position. Laidouni was on the end of the free kick, his cross was dangerously towards the home goal, but Nübel hit the ball to a corner. Neither side could create any more chances in the remaining time and the teams went into the break with a 0-0 scoreline.

Second half

Monaco made two substitutions at the break, Aguilar and Akliouche replacing Vanderson and Diatta.

After the turnaround, we had to wait only 15 seconds for the first situation, but Golovin's shot missed the target. In the 52nd minute, the home side threatened again, but Fofana's rebound attempt was easily saved by Dibusz.

In the 61st minute, after a nice clearance, Tokmac was allowed to head towards the Monaco goal from his own half, and with two defenders in the box, he tried a lift but his shot flew over the goal. Two minutes later we made two changes: Tokmac and Ryan Mmaee left the pitch, replaced by Gojak and Boli.

Monaco tried to keep the pressure on our team, and in the 68th minute Golovin's cross into the middle was collected by Dibusz. In the 70th minute we made another change: Besic was replaced by Vécsei, who had scored a brilliant goal against Trabzonspor. Three minutes later, Monaco came close to scoring, but Jakobs, who came on as a substitute, had a shot saved by Dibusz.

After a long spell of pressure from Monaco, we reached the goal in the 80th minute, Traoré lifted the ball back to the sixteen-meter line, where Vécsei arrived, the Hungarian midfielder's shot bounced but crossed the goal line (0-1).

In the remaining minutes, the French team increased the pressure, but we held our ground confidently in the face of the big rush. In the last minutes of the extra time, the home team had two more chances to score from corners, but we managed to clear the box. In the end, even goalkeeper Nübel stepped up, but they could not equalize, which meant that Ferencváros beat both Trabzonspor and Monaco to top Group H with six points and a clean sheet.
